3 Businesses you can start now

Starting a business is not easy or cheap to do, especially on your own with the added responsibility of having a family and bills to pay.

Here are 3 small businesses that you can start on a very small budget.

1. Cleaning business
Although there is a lot of competition in this field and the margins are low, the demand for cleaning services is quite high. Starting up a cleaning business is very cheap and there are many potential customers out there. Target middle class to wealthy neighborhoods frequently with fliers.

2. Online Store
Starting your own Ecommerce retail store is a great way to start a retail business with very little overheads. Starting an online store will save you a huge amount of money compared to a traditional department store. You will save money on bills rent and staff. Ecommerce stores can be built to make general tasks automated, this saves you time, allowing you to get more out of your store and give your customers a better service, while helping to make life easier for you. You are also giving millions of people across the globe access to your products compared to the select few that walk in to a traditional high street store.

3. Home Tuition
If you have a passion or a hobby, why not turn it into a business? If you find it enjoyable it is likely that there are many people out there who will also enjoy it. I started my first business when I was 16 giving people guitar tuition which eventually built up enough to open a recording studio (below) recording bands, radio adverts and voice overs for companies such as Mars Inc (Mars Bars). It was a great way to earn money, share knowledge, make friends and enjoy life with no real cost (at the beginning!). Make sure that you leaflet regularly to ensure a steady stream of frequent reliable customers.
